Virat Kohli revisits his iconic knock against Pakistan on Diwali 2022
India’s legendary batsman Virat Kohli is certainly the most complete batsman in India, and for the World, he is an inspiration for ages to come. His ability to chase runs at the time of pressure is what he gets praised for and for Virat, it is more important to improve on his performance rather than thinking about breaking erstwhile records.
Just recently, the 35-year old batsman achieved a milestone by surpassing Sachin Tendulkar to register his 49th ODI World Cup on the occasion of his 35th birthday. He achieved the feat in a league stage match against South Africa last Sunday, and became the only Indian cricketer to break Master Blaster’s record of 48 ODI centuries.
What does Virat have to say about improving himself?
“A lot of people don’t know about the improvement of batting. Improvement happens when you think about what can add to my game to win the match. You don’t do it to become a complete batsman.” Virat reckoned that it is his mentality about playing, playing better every time and excelling in those performances, which has actually helped him to achieve those records.
The Diwali Show!
Speaking about the miracle shot he played the previous year against Pakistan that made Diwali much better, Virat remarked “I have seen this a lot of times, but these small things in the middle, these are very special because obviously, you have lived these moments but you haven’t seen it again.” He spoke about this iconic moment while speaking to Star Sports on a show named “Diwali: The Miracle Show.”
India is all set to take on Netherlands tomorrow at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore in its last league stage. It will be rather a special day for all the Indians out there as fans will witness team India conclude the league stage on the prosperous occasion of Diwali.
