Top 10 leading run scorers after SA vs NZ

The 32nd ODI of the ongoing tournament ended brilliantly for South Africa as they secured yet another dominating win against New Zealand at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. After piling up a formidable score of 357/4 against the Kiwis, the Proteas restricted New Zealand to a mere score of 167 runs in just 35.3 overs. This will be counted as South African 6th win of the tournament out of the seven matches they have played. The team outwitted its fellow semi-finals hopeful partner New Zealand with a powerful performance.
Despite having won the toss and opting to field first, the Kiwis hit a low today against the Proteas with their bowling unit failing to showcase an exceptional performance too. The Kiwis kept losing wickets continuously as the South African bowlers didn’t leave their line and length bowling effortlessly. The 32nd ODI of the ICC World Cup witnessed a thrilling 190-run margin for the Proteas against their opponents.

A clinical win indeed
For New Zealand, no batsmen except Glenn Philips, Will Young, and Daryl Mitchell could reach a double digit figure with Philip at 60, Will at 33 and Mitchell scoring 24 runs. During the second innings, their wickets kept losing continuously with South African bowlers namely Keshav Maharaj taking 4 wickets, followed by Marco Jansen at 3 wickets and Gerald Coetzee clinching 2 wickets. After an ensuring win, South Africa has surpassed India on the leaderboard with 12 points and its net run rate at +2.290.
De Kock passing 500-run mark
With Quinton de Kock smashing a brilliant 114-run century, he has seized the leaderboard crossing 500-run mark piling up 545 runs in the ongoing marquee event. While de Kock smashed his 4th century of the World Cup, Rassie Van der Dussen smashed another century for the Proteas with a magnificent knock of 133 runs off 118 balls leading the 8rd position on the ICC Rankings Table with a total of 353 runs.
Though as defending champions, New Zealand batters emerged on 2nd and 9th position on the table with Rachin Ravindra piling up 415 runs and Daryl Mitchell scoring 346 runs in all the matches they have played since the commencement of the tournament.
