Haris Rauf’s Pace Proves Too Much for Shreyas Iyer’s Bat, Gets Split in Two

Despite the bat-splitting incident, Iyer managed to find his rhythm and quickly struck two boundaries. Unfortunately for India, Iyer’s comeback proved challenging, as he was dismissed by another brilliant delivery from Haris Rauf in the 10th over. Rauf sent a short ball off to the offside, and Iyer, attempting a pull shot, found the hands of Fakhar Zaman at mid-wicket. The early departures of star batters Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli had already put India in a precarious position. Rohit was unable to decipher a quality inswinger and departed with just 11 runs off 22 balls. Kohli, on the other hand, fell victim to an out-swinging delivery, nicking it onto his stumps after scoring only 4 runs off 7 balls.
