That injury ruled him out for the rest of the World Cup. He headed to NCA for rehab. He is still not confirmed for the next series against Australia after the World Cup.

In this atmosphere, Hardik Pandya praised Virender Sehwag. He said, “Virender Sehwag changed the white ball cricket for the longest time.” Virender Sehwag was a legendary batter of the team. He changed the face of the Indian opening position. He even played test cricket like T20. From the first ball, he used to play attacking cricket. Virender Sehwag was a power-hitter of his time. He is an exceptional cricketer. In the test format, he scored runs in the fastest way in the history of cricket. He has an excellent cricketing brain. He can score runs at an exceptional speed. He has played 251 ODI matches and scored 8273 runs. His highest score in the format is 219. He scored his massive runs against West Indies in 2011. In that match, Sehwag scored a double century in 140 balls.  That knock was registered as the highest individual score in the ODI format.

His all-time great knock was 309 vs. Pakistan. That was an exceptional inning. He faced 305 balls and scored 309 runs. That inning of his remains as the highest-ever test inning by an Indian. In 2002, Sehwag scored 126 runs against England. This was his first hundred in an ICC tournament. He scored 126 runs in 104 balls. His innings consisted of 21 boundaries and 1 over-boundaries. India won the match by 8 wickets.
