CSK set to release Ben Stokes for IPL 2024

After recent developments, according to a report from Cricbuzz, it has been revealed that there could be a possibility of a change in team dynamics as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are considering releasing star all-rounder Ben Stokes due to concerns about his availability for IPL 2024. This decision comes after a lacklustre season for Stokes, who played in only two games after being acquired for a hefty Rs 16.25 crore in the last mini-auction.

The main reason behind this potential move is Stokes’ upcoming knee surgery, which requires nearly two months of recovery time. CSK, known for their strategic approach, seems hesitant to take a risk on his fitness for the league scheduled from March to May 2024.
